This photo entitled Cat Nap, was taken at the Smithsonian National Zoo in DC. This is Luke the male African lion. Quite the famous lion in this area. Luke was enjoying the sun. How peaceful and relaxed does he look? Look at that big nose and restful eyes. So cute!! King of the pride. I was blessed to be able to get such an up-close capture. Luke the lion is fun to watch. He lives up to his characteristic of being majestic. When you see him in person, Luke looks like the king of the jungle. No cropping done. Emmy Vickers,
