A very belated thank you to Elaine and Charles Daniels for the feature in your "Nature Wildlife Sunsets and Sunrises" group. It's an awesome honor and so appreciated!

I need some help in determining exactly where this is. There was no signage. I was staying in Henderson, NV. I ventured out not more than 15 - 20 miles and found a small parking lot to pull off at and bask in the beauty of my surroundings. If I had just gone 1/2 mile further, I would have been at one of the "paying" main entrances to a major regional park or something that looks like it covered more than one state. It was flat land with amazing mountains way off in the distance all around. It was absolutely awe-inspiring! I thought maybe I was driving on Blue Diamond Parkway, so I thought maybe the town across the street might be Blue Diamond, NV. But I can't quite recall. There was no street signs and no signs to the trails other than directions of what to do and not do. I was by myself, and was a little nervous because no one knew where I was, so I wanted to be careful and safe, I did not want to venture too far. Can anyone help me? Where I pulled over, was a hiking and bike trail right off that two lane main drag. Thank you!!
