Magnolia Surprise,
The Splendor of Spring. These are the Magnolias at the cherry blossom festival in downtown DC at the tidal basin. They are located to the left of the Tidal Basin just as you are about to take a left or right to enter into Potomac Park East or West.
The beauty of the blossoming of the magnolias and cherry blossoms every year in Washington DC is something I wish everyone could experience. Nature at its finest.
In order to take this photo, I really had to get that right angle so my shadow would not ruin the scene. This was a perfect open blossom, so I was determined to capture its beauty so that you can enjoy it in your own home or office. Don't you just love those huge soft pink petals. Enjoy!
