This Maryland wintery scene photo was taken in Silver Spring, MD. This is what is known as The Northwest Branch Trails. Many Silver Spring MD residents know about this wonderful place, while at the same time, it is still a hidden treasure for both locals and out of towners. A great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of this busy suburban area.
The trails run both north towards Wheaton and south into PG County.
This is a photo showing our first snow fall for the new year (2014). Snowed on 1/2/2014 and this photo was taken the next day in the afternoon. This creek is beautiful in the summer, fall, and when snow falls. It's located right on Route 29 in Silver Spring, MD.
Along the trail it is very quiet, with only the occasional distant traffic sound that acts as a reminder of your presence in the middle of a busy suburb. A great place for photographers to enjoy nature and take pictures. Emmy Vickers,
