Description
Early Blooming Cherry Blossoms In DC II,
The Japanese Cherry Blossoms began blossoming very early this year (March 2017) due to the warm weather. However, they say we lost about 20% of the blossoms due to wintry cold weather.
This scene is a close up of a cherry blossom near the Tidal Basin closest to the FDR Park area. To make it stand out more, I used posterization. I also created a version without the posterization.
Every year there are thousands and thousands of locals and people worldwide that come to DC just to see the Cherry Blossoms and partake in the festivities. This is one of my favorite events to attend each year. For me it's a sign of Spring time!, If you are in the area during this fun yet very important event, be sure to check out the tidal basin in all its beauty. Emmy Vickers,
