Oh My What Big Eyes You Have. This beautiful creature is called a red-ruffed lemur. He and several others live at the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington, DC.
The red- ruffed lemur is an endangered species that lives only in northeastern Madagascar. It eats fruit, nectar, leaves, and seeds, helping to pollinate flowers when it feeds on nectar and spreads pollen that has stuck to its long nose.
Be sure to stop by the small mammals house and visit these beautiful animals along with several others. You will also find other kinds of lemurs at the large fountain by the carousel. Emmy Vickers,
