Description
Red Ruf Lemur. This endangered lemur species lives only in northeastern Madagascar. It eats fruit, nectar, leaves, and seeds, helping to pollinate flowers when it feeds on nectar and spreads pollen that has stuck to its long nose. They are fun to watch, quite active.
It was a little difficult capturing this beauty as it was behind a large glass window. I was determined to capture the moment. And I did, so I was happy.
Be sure to stop by the Small Mammal House to visit this beauty and many other awesome small animals. Adults and kids alike seemed to have a great time, as did I. Emmy Vickers,
