Saying Goodbye to Bao Bao the Giant Panda,
It's a bittersweet feeling. I and so many others are going to miss seeing Bao Bao at the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington, DC. But the good news is, Bao Bao is part of the breeding program in China. She will be in a great place where she will be able to continue to be active while at the same time be part of a breeding program to help keep these beautiful giant pandas from extinction.
Bao Bao was transported from DC to China this past Tuesday, February 21, 2017. I had a chance to say good-bye to Bao Bao during a special FONZ only party the Saturday before I had to leave for Florida for back surgeries. I love you and miss you Bao Bao!! Emmy Vickers,

Beautiful photo of our precious treasure! I have been visiting and photographing the pandas at the NZ since Ling Ling and Hsing Hsing were there. They certainly do bring joy into our lives. I have seen a lot of footage and articles on Bao Bao and am pleased to say she is doing well.

Bao Bao is really leaving the Smithsonian National Zoo DC. I have bittersweet emotions. I have been watching and photographing Bao Bao since she was born in 2013. What an amazing Panda. She is fun and energetic. Very entertaining. Having Bao Bao to visit during challenging health times for me, gave me joy and a focus off me and my health. She brought me joy and laughter.
