Description
This was a beautiful day to be visiting Harper's Ferry, WVA. Leaving my crutches in the car, and hobbling with just the knee brace, I was enjoying the peaceful scenery. This photo was taken from the Goodloe Byron footbridge.
I learned that this is where the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers meet. I also learned that there is a way to tell the difference between the two rivers, as the Shenandoah River is supposedly more calm than the Potomac River, as you can see in this photo. Having experienced tubing down these two rivers, I look back at it all, and certainly can tell the difference. The Potomac side of things seemed to have become more challenging and dangerous.
Harpers Ferry is a beautiful place to visit in summer and fall. I will be making another trip in two weeks to catch the foliage. Emmy Vickers,

Thanks so much for the compliment Marvin. I was actually standing on the Goodloe Byron Footbridge...which you can still walk today. It leads you to the Appalachian Trails.
