Statue of Liberty,
This scene was captured from aboard the Norwegian Breakaway Cruise leaving out of the NYC cruise terminal. It was a beautiful warm November day in New York City, surprisingly. I almost missed this spectacular scene because it was so crowded on the ship. I made my way through the crowd just for you!
Did you know that the Statue of Liberty weighs 225 tons (450,000 pounds)?
This colossal neoclassical sculpture is located on Liberty Island in New York City. It was opened in 1886 and is made from gold, copper, wrought iron, and steel.
If ever in NYC, be sure to take a tour to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. Emmy Vickers,
