Description
This view of the sun setting was taken in Gaithersburg, MD near the Washingtonian Center (Rio). I really had to be patient and photo shoot from a few different angles. I laugh at myself because of the things I do to get just the right shot. :) I now have a private pull over space to go to when the sun is beginning to set. Emmy Vickers,

Thank you so much Beverly for the compliments and the vote. Wow - thanks for sharing your love of my work, I am truly honored! That means a lot, as I am new to the business of photography, however, not new to taking photographs. As I study, read articles from experts on this site, read books from the library, I have gained a huger appreciation for the arts and photography. I now photograph things in a different light and with a different mindset. I love it! My focus is on nature, landscape, and animals...this is my quiet time with the universe and God. I didn't want to do this as a business for so long for fear of losing the passion and fun. I started getting so many compliments over the past year from family and business colleagues, and then found FAA...and the rest is history. If you stay focused on the "why" and how your photographs will help others, you won't lose the joy of it. Also surround yourself with other positive, motivated, experienced photographers....positive like-minded people hanging out together learned from each other and do great things!
