Description
Last week I enjoyed photo shooting the Cherry Blossoms throughout the tidal basin in Washington, DC. Focusing on the Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial, and the overall tidal basin. The sites were spectacular and the smell of the cherry blossoms were out-of-this-world. It was the place to be all week, as each day got better as the cherry blossoms fully peaked by Friday, April 11, 2014.
This scene is the world renowned Washington Monument. Over the past few years, the monument was covered with scaffolding. Well, the city reached its goal of having all the scaffolding removed in time for the Cherry Blossom season, which lasts a few weeks. The monument has been fully repaired from the damage that occurred due to the 2010 earthquake that hit our nation's capitol. As you can see from this photo, the monument looks good as new. Enjoy!
