Crossing Bay Bridge During Pandemic2,
A Maryland Award winning photo - 3rd Place at the 2021 Montgomery County Agricultural Fair in Gaithersburg, MD. Third place in the "b&w landscape" division. It was a pleasure and honor to have my work exhibited for all "MoCo (Montgomery County) Fair Attendees" to see. Thanks to all for your support and encouragement.

I love photographing bridges especially American and European. This iconic bridge I thought would look great in both black and white as well as color. I chose b&w for this scene of the Annapolis Bay Bridge because of the architecture; the straight lines. With black and white your eye focuses on the lines and shapes. For me, when I look at this photograph, I feel as if I am actually driving under the bridge. How about you?
Husband and I took a ride to Smyrna, DE today. Our goal was to surprise a sick friend and drop off a care package, say a quick hi and then drive back home to Maryland.
So we drove across the Bay Bridge going from Maryland to Delaware. Dropped off the care package, met the next door neighbor, and then headed back home to Maryland.

On the way home, Hubby drove so I could capture scenes of the Bay Bridge that one can only acquire from actually being on the bridge. I love the architecture of the Bay Bridge and the Chesapeake Bay on both sides. An amazing site to be able to experience. Enjoy!! Emmy Vickers,

When I lived there and the bridge was empty/safe enough, I would cruise around 90 mph or more on those bay bridges.

If ever there were an image and story, this is it! Usually bridges are busy with traffic and this almost desolate structure really tells of the impact of the Pandemic. Add to that, your adventure for the day to help a friend, it really is incredible. Congratulations on your contest placing, and for adding it to our Women Photographers discussion.
