Saturday, August 23, 2014 was baby panda Bao Bao's first birthday and celebration at the National Zoo in DC. Well, she did not disappoint. She was quite entertaining as always.
This photo is Bao Bao on top of her frozen veggie-fruit birthday cake. She is hanging on to the frozen number one which was quite fun to watch. However, frozen things out in the sun do not last forever. Shortly after taking this photo, the number one falls off the cake along with baby Bao Bao. It was funny to hear the crowd as this happens. Baby Bao Bao was not hurt. As a matter of fact, she gets right up and continues to enjoy her cake. Please check out other photos, as I have a few where Bao Bao drops a portion of the orange part of the cake off the rocks and climbs down to get it. Enjoy! Emmy Vickers,
