Description
Covid19 Memorial Project DC,
It was a perfect day of about 78 degrees, sunny with a nice breeze. I decided to visit Washington, DC on 09/23/2020 (only a 30 minute drive from Silver Spring, MD).
On the National Mall right next to the Washington Monument, several volunteers set up this amazing memorial in honor of the 200,000+ Americans that have died unnecessarily due to the Covid-19 virus. Extremely sad and scary. The volunteers placed 20,000 flags in the ground; for every 10 people there lays a flag. Amazing!!
Please take a moment to pray for all those that have died and their families who were left behind. Thank you to ALL the volunteers for their time and dedication. Hugs and love around the world. Emmy Vickers,
