This is the same beautiful brown pelican that I captured in flight. Here he is contemplating flying. Notice the left wing sticking out. He did this a couple of times before he actually decided to fly to another location.
Pelicans, brown pelicans are amazing birds. These birds are so much fun to observe and photograph. Did you know that brown pelicans are also known as pelecanus occidentalis? Also, did you notice the beautiful color of the water? Bright green when the sun hits it.
This scene was taken at the Fort De Soto Gulf Pier in Pinellas County, Florida. A great place to hang out for a few hours.
This cool, fun, relaxing scene is great for beach homes, b&b's, and hotels, especially those located along beach areas. Enjoy! Emmy Vickers,
